Bohitile is also known as a renowned commercial farmer and politician. In 2006 Bohitile was chosen as the Emerging Farmers of the Year in the Namibia Agricultural Union. In September of 2010 she broke records by being elected on the board of MeatCo Namibia. Bohitile was the first woman ever elected to be the chair of for the MeatCo board. Bohitile was also on the Board of Windhoek Country Club and Casino.

Bohitile was born the 19th of November, 1956 at Windhoek. She was a student at in the Catholic High School at Windhoek’s Old Location, Windhoek’s black residential suburb from the end of the 1950s. She also attended the Gunichas Roman Catholic Academy in Gobabis as well as on Gobabis and at the Catholic High School in Dobra. Bohitile studied Home Economics in tertiary studies in Tshiye College and Vista University both located situated in South Africa. After graduating, she was a teacher at the Windhoek’s Immanuel Shifidi Secondary School. She also embarked on an agricultural career and was involved in politics.
As a participant in SWAPO, Bohitile was a member of the 2nd and 3rd National Assemblies from 1995-2005. Bohitile also served as the deputy minister for Basic Education and Culture from 1995-2005 , as well. She returned to into the National Assembly from 2007-2010 when she was replaced by Ben Amathila, who retired. Additionally, she is a part of the SWAPO Central Committee.
