He gave birth to two sons: Gilbert and Christopher. His wife passed away in 1675. He later remarried the following year in 1677 Jane Fitzwilliam, William FitzWilliam 2nd Baron FitzWilliam’s niece who was his daughter with Jane as well as William. Jane died in 1680.
