Sinclair was the director of Pepsi’s entry into the Indian market, and also recruited Former CEO of Pepsi Indra Nooyi. To illustrate his determination, Sinclair told Fortune magazine in 1994 “If Coke starts growing 8%, we’ll do 10% or 12%.” Sinclair had predicted non-U.S. Coca-Cola revenue of around $5 billion in the year 1995 and even exceeded his goals. He left PepsiCo in the year 1996.
Sinclair led the financial restructuring of Caribiner International, Inc. (now Jack Morton Worldwide) as chairman and CEO of this Warburg Pincus-sponsored global business communications company. He has served as a partner at Pegasus Capital Advisors, LP, a private equity firm, and an operating partner at Morgan Joseph TriArtisan, a New York-based merchant bank. He was the executive chairman and CEO of Cambridge Solutions Ltd, the second largest BPO/IT company in the world, which was sold in 2008 to Xchanging, a General Atlantic-backed business services company.
Sinclair served as chairman of Mattel, Inc. from January 2015 to May 2018, and as CEO from January 2015 to February 2017. In May 2018, he became the non- executive chairman of Reckitt Benckiser plc, having served as a director since February 2015.
Sinclair began his career with General Foods and Newsweek, prior to spending over 15 years with PepsiCo. In 1989 Sinclair was promoted to Pepsi America’s central division president to president of the newly created Pepsi Cola International. Sinclair was elevated to the CEO in the company PepsiCo Foods and Beverages International in 1993, and later to the position of chairman and CEO at Pepsi-Cola. He was also a part of the PepsiCo board of directors.

Fred Meyer is now owned by The Kroger Co.
