Christophe Castaner (French pronunciation: [kRistof KastaneR] ; born the 3rd of January, 1966) is a French politician acting as the minister of the Interior from 16 October 2018 and also as an Executive Officer for La Republique En Marche! since the year 2017. From 17 May 2017 until the 16th of October in 2018, he served as secretary of state in charge of Relations to Parliament (French Secretaire d’Etat in charge of Relations with le Parlement) under Prime Minister Edouard Philippe; until 24 November 2017, he was the Spokesperson of the government. He also served as the spokesperson of Emmanuel Macron during his campaign for the presidential elections of 2017.
