Christine Fong Kwak-shan (Chinese: Fang Guo Shan born on March 28, 1966) is an engineer and politician from Hong Kong, as well as a former child actor. She is currently a council member in Hong Kong’s Sai Kung District Council.
She has been vocal about the government’s plans for the expansion to the Tseung Kwan O landfill which is located in her district that is located in Wan Po North. She also started an unofficial fast of 35 hours outside the Legislative Council building to protest against the extension of the landfill in 2013.
And yet, in 2016 Hong Kong legislative election, it was reported that the Hong Kong Liaison Office has been trying to “allocate” the votes to Fong.
She announced to run for the 2016 New Territories East by-election, a seat left vacant by Ronny Tong who resigned in the light of the 2015 Hong Kong electoral reform. She finished fourth place in the election by receiving 33,424 votes, around 8,000 more than the 2012 election.
She was a candidate in during the Legislative Council election in New Territories East and received 24,594 votes. She was 4,500 votes short of claiming the seat.

Fong had been a young actor on ATV back in the 1980s. The actor Bowie Wu is her godfather. She became famous for her character, Nezha on the TV show The Boy Fighter from Heaven and is nicknamed for the character. When she graduated at her school at the University of Hawaii with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, she obtained the title of building engineer. She was also the secretary to Cheung Yan-lung an influential leader in the rural areas.
The politician joined with the Liberal Party in 2004 and was the Chairman for the New Territories East Branch until 2010 when she left the Liberals. The council was named to her Sai Kung District Council in 2008, and was elected to the Council by the newly formed Wan Po constituency in the 2011 election , with a high percentage of votes.
In 2015 election, she was re-elected through the new Wan Po North constituency which was split from her original constituency after a boundary review. She clung on to her seat in 2019 District Council elections in Hong Kong by 170 votes, following a rout of pro-Beijing candidates amidst the 2019 Hong Kong protests.
