Christiane Noll (born October 5 in 1958) was an American actress and singer, well-known for her performances in musicals as well as on stage. Perhaps her most well-known work is for playing the lead role of Emma Carew in Frank Wildhorn’s Jekyll & Hyde, as and her performances on the stage in Urinetown as well as Ragtime.

In 2010, Noll was in the 2010 production of Broadway on Broadway as Mother in the production of Ragtime at the Neil Simon Theatre for which she was nominated for an Tony Award for Best Performance by an actress in a Musical. She also created the character in the role of Emma for Jekyll & Hyde, the Broadway show Jekyll & Hyde in 1997 after performing the role in out-of-town auditions. Also, she appeared as a character on Broadway in the musical revue It’s Nothin’ But The blues (1999). Noll was given high praise for her performance on stage as Kathie as the character in The Student Prince in 2000 at the Paper Mill Playhouse and Marianne in City Center Encores! The New Moon (2003). Noll was awarded her first Ovation Award for her role in the role of Hope Cladwell in the National Tour of Urinetown (2004). She also created the character in the musical Vanna Vane as Vanna Vane in The Mambo Kings musical (2005), Jane Smart in the American premiere of The Witches of Eastwick at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, Virginia (2007), Elizabeth Lavenza in the rock musical Frankenstein – A New Musical (2007 Off-Broadway, 37 Arts) as well as Jordan on stage in The Piper at the NY Music Theatre Festival (2007). Noll played Ruth as Ruth in the year 2008’s Ace on stage at The Signature Theatre in Arlington.

Noll has released four solo CD’s, Christiane Noll – A Broadway Love Story (1998), The Ira Gershwin Album (2001), Live at the Westbank Café (2003) and “Christiane Noll – My Personal Property” (2008). She supplied the singing- voice of Anna in the Warner Bros. animated feature The King and I (1999). Noll is a native of New York City and raised in Leonia, New Jersey, where she went to Leonia High School. The daughter of a conductor who was an Emmy- winning music supervisor at CBS the late Ron Noll, and soprano Sara-Ann Noll. She earned her degree at Carnegie Mellon University. She was married in 2006. Noll got married to actor Jamie LaVerdiere who was as a character in her role in the Broadway performance of The Pirate Queen in 2007. The couple’s first baby girl was born in February of 2009. Noll has set up The Charlotte Black Memorial Fund as an endowed award at Carnegie Mellon University.

Noll appeared as Sister Margaretta in the 2013 NBC Broadcast of The Sound of Music.
