Christa Nichole Wells (nee, Rogers; born on August 23rd 1973) is an American musician and singer who sings in an indie-pop style of music. Wells has recorded two complete, independently-produced studio albums the albums Frame the Clouds in 2009 and Feed Your Soul in 2013. In addition, Wells has released two extended play albums The album How Emptiness Sings in 2011 and Covers in 2015. She was honored with the Dove Award for Songwriter of the Year in 2006 for the track, “Held”, on Natalie Grant’s album, Awaken.

Wells began her career in music in the beginning of 2000 she wrote the hit song “Day by Day” for Point of Grace and co-writing with Plumb for her album Beautiful Lumps of Coal. She was the sole author of the song Held that became an instant hit with Natalie Grant on her 2005 album Awaken, and won Wells the Dove Award for Songwriter of the Year. The first album she released as a solo artist called the album Frame the Clouds, was released on June 15th of 2009 by Kiss Me Not Publishing. The album that followed, How Emptiness Sings, an extended version of the play that launched on the 15th of March 15th 2011. In the is the year in which Wells worked with musician/singer Nicole Witt to write and record a second EP called Image of God, which was released on the 27th of December on the 27th of December. The duo later added their Image of God collection, the release of a full-length self-titled album under the band the name More Than Rubies.

In February 2015, Wells released a crowd-funded extended play called Covers, including songs by popular mainstream bands U2, Depeche Mode, Nirvana, The Smiths, and Smashing Pumpkins.
