Christopher Ryan Rowley (born August 14 in 1990) is an American professional baseball player from the Minnesota Twins organization. He participated in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Toronto Blue Jays. Also, Rowley is a First Lieutenant in the United States Army, assigned to the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR). On August 12, 2017, Rowley became the first West Point graduate to play in MLB.

On the 23rd of July, 2018, Rowley was released from waivers from the Texas Rangers. The Rangers declared him free on the 5th of October in 2018.

Rowley was a student at South Forsyth High School in Cumming, Georgia, where there were school records set in wins and earned an average of runs (ERA) as well as strikeouts. After graduation, Rowley was offered college baseball scholarships from Mercer University and the United States Military Academy (also known as West Point). He decided to go to for the Military Academy over Mercer, since they Army Black Knights offered him the chance to play in games, whereas the Mercer Bears were interested in him being as a bullpen player, as relief pitcher. In his debut season as a player with Army He was a part of 3 games with the Black Knights and posted a 13.00 ERA in nine innings pitched. He added an 2.40 earned run rate and 80 strikeouts in 97/3 of innings. After the season Rowley was named the Patriot League’s Pitcher of The Year. The final year he played for the Black Knights, Rowley went 9-4, with an 2.67 ERA and 75 strikeouts in the 97/3 innings he pitched.

Not drafted following graduation, Rowley was requested to his team the Toronto Blue Jays to play for the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays throughout the 2013 season, following which he began his active duty commitment of five years for the United States Army. In the nine games he played the pitcher posted an 4-0 record, 1.10 ERA, and 39 strikeouts over 32/3 innings. Rowley started his military career with a stint at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and was later transferred for Bulgaria in addition to Romania as an Field Artillery fire support officer. While in Bulgaria in the course of Operation Atlantic Resolve, first lieutenant Rowley approached the senior medical officer of his company to ensure that his arm was in condition. After spending thirty years in military duty, the request for an exemption to the remaining portion of his obligation was granted on the 22nd of January the 22nd of January, 2016 and he was then assigned to Individual Ready Reserve. He played for the whole season with the advanced-a Dunedin Blue Jays, and recorded a win-loss record of 10-3, 3.49 ERA, and an impressive 86 strikeouts over 123/3 innings. The team assigned him to Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats to start the 2017 season and then was promoted to Triple-A Buffalo Bisons on June 19. Rowley initially pitched from his bullpen position for Buffalo before joining the rotation as a starter the 4th of July.

On February 28, 2019, Rowley signed a minor league contract with the San Diego Padres. He became a free agent following the 2019 season.
