Christopher Michael Devenski (born November 13 in 1990) is also known as Devo is an American professional baseball player with the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB). Prior to making the move to professional baseball, Devenski played college baseball for Golden West College and California State University, Fullerton. It was the Chicago White Sox selected Devenski in the 25th spot, as the 771st selection overall in 2011. Major League Baseball draft. Devenski was a student at Gahr High School located in Cerritos, California. He played on the school’s baseball team , both shortstop and pitcher. In 2008, he graduated and then enrolled at Golden West College, where the team played during his freshman year as a shortstop and a pitcher. Devenski moved into California State University, Fullerton and continued his baseball career at the college level as a member of the Cal State Fullerton Titans. The Titans coaches persuaded him to concentrate on pitching and he was able to pitch 182/3 innings in 104 games over two seasons with the team.
