China Alexandra Soul (born 5 May 1988) is an American artist/singer who is based in Britain. The album she released as her debut Secrets & Words was released in the UK on the 25th of October, 2010 via AS:Music. The singer is the child of singer/actress David Soul and actress Julia Nickson-Soul.
The actress joined the cast in April 2014. Soul became part of the ensemble cast in Chaplin’s Circus as the character in the role of Ruth Etting, an American singer and actress from the 1920s and the 1930s.
“Cold” was also released in an special edition of seven” white vinyl via FooFar Records in the month of January of 2010. Its B-side was an singing cover of Nina Simone song “Be My Husband”. Soul’s second track “Breathe” was released 25 April 2011.

Soul is the sole daughter of singer/actress David Soul and actress Julia Nickson. Soul has 5 half brothers who are from his previous unions. Born from Tampa, Florida, Soul lived living in Los Angeles, California. She was a creative writer at the Orange County High School of the Arts. Then, in June of 2006 Soul was able to move to London permanently , and attended Royal Holloway, University of London where she took classes in English Literature and Creative Writing.
In the latter half of 2008. Soul began to meet Chaz Jankel from The Blockheads (formerly Ian Dury and The Blockheads) along with Jankel started producing and co-writing the debut studio album of Soul. Secrets & Words. Soul’s first track “Cold” was released through AS:Music in the United Kingdom on 18 October 2010. The album debuted the following week on 25 October, 2010. In November of 2010, Soul was invited onto the Dermot O’Leary BBC Radio 2 show for an interview and live session in which she performed “Cold” and a cover of the Rod Stewart song “You’re in My Heart”. On May 1, the 1st of May Soul was in the Aled Jones BBC Radio 2 show for an interview live and performance of her next track “Breathe”. On May 18, 2011, she performed on Steve Wright in the Afternoon BBC Radio 2 show with her father. There were also spot-plays on shows like”The Jools Holland Radio 2 show, and was at TV’s Lorraine Kelly show for an interview.
