Charles Thomson is one of the most popular and richest Political Leader who was born on February 6, 1953 in Maghera, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. Charles Thomson (born 6 February 1953) is an English poet, artist and photographer from England. In the early 1980s , he was a part of The Medway Poets. In 1999, he founded and founded The Stuckists art movement along with Billy Childish. He has organized Stuckist shows, staged protests against the Turner Prize, run an art gallery, fought for the parliament and even reported Charles Saatchi to the OFT. He is often mentioned by the press as an opponent to conceptual art. He was briefly was married to the artist Stella Vine.

In 1999, Thomson found peace with Childish and they co-founded The Stuckists art group, along with eleven other artists. Thomson invented the term “Stuckism” after an insult by Tracey Emin, her ex-boyfriend Childish saying that Thomson is “stuck”, which Childish had narrated in a poem from 1993. The group’s goals were described by promoting figurative painting as well as opposition to conceptual art, while being especially opposed to The Turner Prize and Charles Saatchi’s promotion of Britart. Childish was removed from his group at the end of 2001, but Thomson was the main figurehead and was the main focus of media attention for his actions and public statements. Between 2001 and 2002, the Stuckists have grown into a global movement that included more than 100 groups across 30 countries.

Thomson and Vine had a two-month relationship and they married on 8 August 2001 in New York. The next day, Vine said she wanted a divorce; they had an intense row, their room in the hotel was “trashed”. She left him and they did not meet again till a week later. Thomson later said that he was unable to cope with Vine’s vacillations, and she said she could not cope with his controlling behaviour. The marriage ended in 2001 after about two months. They were granted a divorce in October 2003.

She met Thomson on 30 May 2001 at the private view of the Vote Stuckist show in Brixton, where she accepted his invitation to form The Westminster Stuckists group and to exhibit some of her paintings publicly for the first time in the show.
