Lauzirika directed his feature debut in the thriller psychological Crave which was shot on October 23rd at Detroit, Michigan, and includes Josh Lawson, Emma Lung, Edward Furlong and Ron Perlman. Lauzirika is also producer of the film as well as co-wrote screenplay alongside Robert A. Lawton. Crave had a sold out premier during the Fantasia International Film Festival on July 24, 2012, and won the New Flesh Award for Best First Feature Film. The film made its sold-out United States premiere at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas on September 22nd, 2012, with Lauzirika being awarded Best Director at this festival’s Next Wave competition. Lauzirika is also contracted to direct and write an adaptation for a feature film from The Philip K. Dick science fiction short story “I Hope I Shall Arrive Soon”. 2013 was the year that Lauzirika received the title of Jury Chair in the First Feature category at the Fantasia International Film Festival, the same award category Crave had won in the previous year.

Through 2018 and 2019, Lauzirika produced behind-the-scenes content for DC Universe ‘s Doom Patrol and Stargirl, as well a 71 minute documentary on the making of the Hellboy reboot directed by Neil Marshall.
