She took part in the second edition of the Colombian Emeralds International Jockey Challenge on New Year’s Day 2005 in Barbados and steered Maeve ($11.80) through to winning the race’s first race, guiding an ‘Woodbine’ sweep while Jono Jones (Band Dancer) and Patrick Husbands (Blazing Colours) placed second and third respectively. The year 2005 was the first time she travelled to races on the tracks of Florida as well as New York, where jockeys Angel Cordero, Jr., Shane Sellers and Edgar Prado helped her develop her abilities. She competed in the winter race at Aqueduct in 2007. The highlight of her time of her stay in New York was a victory in the Tom Fool Handicap with Smokume at Belmont Park.
