Casey Serin is one of the most popular and richest Blogger who was born on September 10, 1982 in Tashkent, United States. Casey Konstantin Serin, born September 10, 1982 and legally renamed Casey Constantine on April 2016, is an American blogger from Uzbekistan. He was formerly a real estate investor. USA Today described him as the “poster child” for the failures of the real estate boom in a newspaper article. Serin was born in Tashkent in Uzbekistan and immigrated to the United States with his family in 1994. Serin graduated from high school and worked in website design. In his twenties Serin made the decision to quit full-time work to pursue a career as a house flipper to make a living and build wealth. Serin bought eight houses in the southwest U.S. and began blogging about the foreclosure process. Five of the eight properties were foreclosed. Serin’s dubious real estate transactions and his subsequent blog about it have made Serin’s name strongly associated with the subprime crisis in mortgage lending.
Serin retained an attorney in 2007 to inform him that he was being investigated by the FBI. However, Serin has not been charged with any crime.
On July 11, 2007, Serin disclosed that he was under investigation by the FBI. In an interview conducted by ABC News, his attorney reported that Casey Serin was under investigation by the FBI, but that “no charges have been brought against Mr. Serin. However, based upon conversations with the U.S. Attorney’s office in California, federal charges related to Mr. Serin’s real estate transactions are expected to be brought against him”. Shortly thereafter, Serin said in a mass e-mailing that he would be closing the blog and getting a “regular W-2 job,” citing the stress his family has experienced.
The final months of his blog saw further erratic behavior by Serin, including a June 2007 spur-of-the-moment flight to Australia without informing his wife or family members. Regarding his multiple mortgages, Serin acknowledged to the Sydney Morning Herald that “the stuff I did is technically mortgage fraud, but it’s not officially called that until someone prosecutes me and proves that that is indeed mortgage fraud,” asserting a presumption of innocence. While in Australia, Casey Serin appeared on Top Shelf Radio with Robbie Buck. On the Jon Ronson show, Serin again confirmed his use of so-called “liar loans”.
Serin, despite being in deep debt, borrowed $16,000 in 2006 to pay for a week- long seminar course in real estate. The course was supposed to teach “creative finance” at Nouveau Riche University in Phoenix. Arizona Corporation Commission later fined Jim Piccolo $6 million for his role in a scheme to fraudulently invest in real estate.

Casey Serin is one of the richest Blogger from United States. According to our analysis, Wikipedia, Forbes & Business Insider, Casey Serin 's net worth $5 Million. (Last Update: December 11, 2023)
Serin bought eight single-family houses using stated income loans between October 2005 and May 2006. These loans did not require documentation of income nor down payments. Serin, who quit his job as web designer in January 2006, claimed an exaggerated income of roughly five times his actual salary on loan applications. He believed that similar strategies were being used by other borrowers to get mortgages they wouldn’t otherwise be eligible for. After quitting his job, he continued to claim the same income for loan applications. Serin claimed that many of the properties were bought with owner-occupied loans. These loans are generally more favorable than loans for investment properties. According to a Voice of San Diego article, Serin’s first loans might not have been included in credit reports for future loans. This is because Serin purchased properties in multiple states in a short period of time so that the banks could not trace his loan documents.
Serin created the blog IamFacingForeclosure in September 2006. It was a description of his situation. He wanted to both offer advice and warn others about the same mistakes that he made. The blog was first popularized by readers of other blogs about the United States housing bubble. His story was published in many media outlets, including USA Today, National Public Radio and New York magazine. Commenters generally supported Serin’s blog when it was first launched. They hoped that Serin would try to avoid foreclosure and repay any debts by finding work. Serin was praised for his forthright blogging style, and media coverage did not go into detail about the debts. In 2006, Casey Serin also appeared on “Rich Dad’s Online Business School”, where he told his story to Robert Kiyosaki as well as his audience.
Serin’s final blog entry on July 28, 2007 was dedicated to his wife. The blog was purchased by the owner of ml-implode.com. Serin says he used proceeds from the sale to pay off $35,000 of consumer credit debt in his wife’s name.
