Casey Nicole Loyd, nee Casey Nicole Nogueira was born February 23, 1989. She is an American professional soccer player who most recently played in the NWSL’s FC Kansas City. She was previously a Los Angeles Sol, Sky Blue FC, and Chicago Red Stars player in the WPS. In 2007, she earned one cap for the United States women’s national soccer team. She represented the United States U-20 Women’s Team at the 2006 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Championship as well as the 2007 Pan American Games.

Nogueira was a member of the 2006 North Carolina Tar Heels women’s soccer team. The Tar Heels won 2006 National Championship. Nogueira started just one game in 2006, but she was able to play both semifinal and final games because of team injuries. Nogueira was able to score in both of the games and earned a spot on the all-tournament team. Her junior season saw her lead in scoring with 21 goals. This culminated in the achievement of both goals when UNC won the 2008 NCAA championships 2-1 over Notre Dame. She was the top national soccer player as a junior and won the Honda Sports Award.

In 2008, Nogueira signed with the Carolina RailHawks Women, now known as the Cary Lady Clarets, an expansion W-League team.

After Chicago Red Stars announced it would not be part of the Women’s Professional Soccer in 2011, Nogueira signed as a free agent with Sky Blue FC on December 23, 2010. She was named Player of the Week on June 30, 2011.

Nogueira was a North Carolina High School graduate. She was named 2005 Gatorade Player-of-the Year. She was named Parade Magazine’s 2005 High School All American by the NSCAA and she graduated in 2006 a year earlier than expected. In her two years with them, the Capitals won one state title and were runners-up once. 2005 MVP of the state championship. Nogueira was also a member of the CASL Spartan Elite. She won the 2005 regional championship, and finished third at the national U-17 championship.

Casey Nogueira is the daughter of Victor Nogueira. Her father was a San Diego Sockers player. When she was five years old, she began playing soccer. Her father, who was a professional soccer player, moved her to Milwaukee Wave in

1992. He played there for 12 seasons. Nogueira was raised in Cedarburg, Wisconsin by her mother. She was coached by her father on the local boys’ soccer teams. After that, she enrolled at Cedarburg High School to play for the girls’ soccer team. After spending her freshman year in Wisconsin Nogueira moved to Raleigh with her mother.

Noguiera was called to the U-16 Women’s National Team in 2004 and she entered the national team program. The next year, she was promoted to the U-17 team. Noguiera scored in each of three group games.

She earned her first cap with the senior team in a 1–1 tie with England on January 28, 2007. She started, but came off for Lindsay Tarpley at half time. She was called up to the senior team in May 2009 versus Canada but did not play. In February 2010, she was named to the Algarve Cup roster.
