The University of Sydney has been honoring the pianist since 2012 with two faculty merit postgraduate awards to help her doctoral research. These are the George Henderson Award and Katheleen & Allison Short Scholarship. Bernadette Harvey and Natalia Ricci supervise her investigation into Enrique Granados’ piano work. They also provide valuable insights from Albert Attenelle and Maria Teresa Monteys, Marshall Academy professors, who are the last three students of Frank Marshall and inheritors of the Barcelona piano tradition. Carolina was a recipient of many international awards and prizes. She was recently awarded The Grand Cross of The Most Illustrious Ord of Humanitarian Merit and The European Gold Cross by the Agrupacion Espanola de Fomento Europeo de Fomento Europeo in recognition of their contribution to promote Hispanic Arts and Culture. Carolina is active in Australian culture and her efforts to promote Spanish music are supported by the Cervantes Institute, the Consulate General and the Spanish Embassy.

Carolina Estrada, a Spanish-born concert pianist, is a visiting Doctor of Musical Arts candidate, Teaching Assistant at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and External Examiner at University of New England. She is also the founder and director of Iberia, which is highly sought after at international festivals and conservatories. Estrada discovered a passion for music from her homeland when she moved abroad to study piano performance in Spain. She graduated at the Conservatorium of Barcelona with the highest degree in Spanish piano performance by 18 years of age. Carolina Estrada was a piano lecturer at Reus Conservatorium of Music, Spain, and Sultan Qaboos University, Middle East from 2005 to 2009. As a visiting scholar at the Hochschule der Kunste Bern, she is currently based in Bern (Switzerland).
