Rovinescu joined Air Canada as an Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy in 2000. He also served as the Chief Restructuring Officer during the 2003-2004 restructuring. Rovinescu, who was co-founder of Genuity Capital Markets and its principal, was an independent investment bank that merged with Canaccord Capital in order to create Canaccord Genuity Group.
