Palo was not selected in the 2014 NBA Draft. He tried out for the Texas Legends, a division of the NBA Development League. Although he was able to secure a spot on the roster for the 2014-15 season, his stint was only 16 games. He was then waived by the Legends in January 2015.

The Sioux Falls Skyforce purchased Palo on November 2, 2015. Palo helped the Skyforce to finish 2015-16 with a D-League-best record of 40-10 and then went on the help the team win their league championship with a 2-1 Finals series victory over the Los Angeles D-Fenders.
He was acquired by Sioux Falls Skyforce on January 21, 2015. He stayed with the team the remainder of the season. He averaged 6.6 points per game, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 29 games with the Skyforce from 2014-15.
On October 15, 2019, Palo signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Miami Heat, which ultimately resulted in a return to Sioux Falls, the Heat’s G League affiliate.
