Lochland was injured in her leg in a 2019 practice game against Collingwood and was later treated to repair her broken right fibula. After a few weeks of being off the field she was able to recover quicker than anticipated to participate in the final three matches in the AFLW season. She was back to her team’s one point loss in round 5 to Melbourne in round five. In the post- season period of trade, Lochland signed a one-year contract with the Bulldogs.

In the year 2018, Lochland kicked seven goals in the Bulldogs in their round 4 game against Carlton the highest number ever scored of an AFL Women’s player during one match. She concluded the home-and-away season with 12 goals across seven matches winning the AFL Women’s best goalie award for the season. She also contributed to team successes as they Western Bulldogs went on to take the title by beating Brisbane at the 2017 AFL Women’s Grand Final, and also gaining personal recognition through selection into the All-Australian squad.

Lochland started skating inline at the age of four. She also competed at the world championships when she was a teenager. When she was 16, she emigrated into the Netherlands to pursue an opportunity as an endurance speed skater. Lochland was selected to the Western Bulldogs with their seventh selection and was ranked fifty-third overall during the 2015 AFL Women’s draft. Her debut came in the 32-point victory over Fremantle on VU Whitten Oval in the beginning in the season 2017. She played in every match of her first season, and finished in seven appearances.
