Brian Moran is one of the most popular and richest Baseball Player who was born on September 30, 1988 in Port Chester, New York, United States. Brian William Moran (born September 30 1988) is an American professional baseball player with the Toronto Blue Jays organization. Moran played in the NCAA baseball tournament in the University of North Carolina. He was selected to the Seattle Mariners in the seventh round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft. He was previously a player with the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Moran began the year 2010 with the Class A Clinton LumberKings. Moran was utilized as an set-up pitcher during his stint at Class A level. He was an all-league pitcher during that time. Prior to the all-star break Moran was the top of Midwest League pitchers in bases on balls per nine innings pitched (0.93). He praised the growth of his split-finger fastball as a factor in his great success in 2010. It was reported that he had been “great friends” with his former University of North Carolina teammate and former LumberKings teammate Kyle Seager. When he was with the LumberKings in the same season, Moran went 4-1 with an 1.34 ERA, three saves and 48 strikeouts over 22 games, with all of them being relief. Moran was promoted to at the Class-A advanced level to join the High Desert Mavericks of the California League. In High Desert, Moran went 2 for 2 with an 1.42 ERA, one save and 29 strikeouts over 17 games, all played in relief. In the final season of his career, Moran played with the Double-A West Tenn Diamond Jaxx of the Southern League, compiling a 13.50 ERA in two games. Between the three teams, Moran went 6-1 with an 1.73 ERA, four saves and 78 strikeouts during an innings of 67/3 pitched.
At the 2016 Winter Meetings, the Baltimore Orioles selected Moran from the Braves in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 draft.
On August 10, 2016, the Atlanta Braves signed Moran to a minor league contract.
Moran was chosen from his team, the Seattle Mariners in the seventh round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft. He explained his experience of being selected in the draft by Seattle: “I was actually at practice and a lot of the guys shouted down to the bullpen to let me know. Then all the sudden my phone started to get a lot of calls from people saying congratulations. It was pretty cool.” Moran was the first left-handed pitcher selected during the draft of 2009 from the Mariners. Dustin Ackley and Kyle Seager who were Moran’s teammates at North Carolina, were also chosen by the Mariners in 2009.

In 2007 Moran was accepted into at the University of North Carolina and was a part of the university’s Baseball team, pitching. In his first season as a student at North Carolina, Moran compiled an 3.37 earned run-adjusted (ERA) and seven strikeouts across 13 games, and all in relief. In his second year, Moran compiled a 1-2 record, which included an 2.76 ERA, two saves and 72 strikeouts across 40 games, all of which were in relief. The 2009 season was a success. Moran recorded a 7-1 record with an 2.31 ERA, four saves and 90 strikeouts over 36 games. He was a third-team all-American choice following the season. Moran summarized his experience during his time at North Carolina by saying, “It was a dream come true – I can still not believe it that I will not be going back. It was an unbelievable three years. It was everything I could have hoped it could be. I made a lot of good friends and the coaches were awesome. It was an unbelievable experience.”
After being selected to the Seattle Mariners in 2009, Moran signed his contract on 26 June 2009 receiving a signing bonus of US$140,000. Moran was signed by scout Rob Mammau. Moran began his career in the minor league team during the season, playing for the rookie level Pulaski Mariners. He was 1-0, with an 3.72 ERA, two saves and 14 strikeouts over six games. He played in relief for Pulaski. Moran was moved to the Class-A Clinton LumberKings of the Midwest League. In the LumberKings Moran, he was 3-3, with an 2.89 ERA, and 17 strikeouts over 12 games. Between the two teams the year 2009 Moran had a 3-1 record, with an 3.18 ERA, two saves and 31 strikeouts over 29/3 of innings pitched.
He was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays on December 12, 2013 in the 2013 Rule 5 draft and then traded to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
