Brian Neil Easton (born 5 March 1988) is an Scottish footballer who is part of Hamilton Academical as a defender. Easton began his career with Hamilton and was a winner of Hamilton the Scottish First Division championship in the year 2008. Easton was traded to English club Burnley in 2009, however he was primarily a backup player, before being transferred again to Hamilton in 2010 , before leaving after the expiration year of contract. the following year, he signed with Dundee. His contract with Dundee ended in June 2013. at Dundee was terminated and he relocated towards St Johnstone, initially on the basis of a one-year agreement, however, he continued to play for St Johnstone for six seasons. He won the Scottish Cup in 2014 but not being able to play for more than one year due to an injury. Easton was reunited with Hamilton during the spring of 2019.
In the following season, with Accies being promoted into the upper division Easton began the Scottish Premier League debut, when Hamilton defeated Dundee United on the opening day. On the 25th of October, the year 2008 Easton got his first SPL goals at Rangers with a score of 3-1 defeat and on the 22nd of November, Easton scored his own goal when Hamilton was unable to draw 1-1 with Dundee United. Easton scored his 100th appearance in the league in the Hamilton team’s match Hamilton at Motherwell on May 16th, 2009. In the January transfer window Hamilton’s Chairman Ronnie MacDonald said he refused to let go of his young players and, in particular Easton since he was attracting attention by clubs from England. Easton’s impressive performances throughout the season has attracted the attention from Derby County manager Nigel Clough. With the attention of Derby, Easton insisted the move speculation did not affect his decision-making.
On returning to Burnley, Easton said he vowed to become a regular player next season, with the club relegated back to the Championship. However, he was continually left out of the squad from the start of the season until October, when he made his league debut on 19 October 2010 against Barnsley after stepping in for the injured Danny Fox. He scored his first goal for Burnley in a 3–2 defeat to Leeds United on 11 December 2010. However, Easton’s first-team opportunities were still limited, having been an unused substitute in most of the matches.
On 29 January 2010, Hamilton welcomed back Easton on loan until the end of the 2009–10 season. One day later, he made his debut in a 1–0 loss against Celtic. After the match, Easton said he could help the club stay in the SPL, and that his time with Burnley had made him a better player. In April, Easton said he wanted to stay on loan until the end of the season. At the end of the season, Easton returned to his parent club, having helped Accies avoid relegation.
Easton first made an appearance for Scotland’s under-21s , against Northern Ireland, at New Douglas Park in November of 2008. Easton then played for the Scotland B team in May 2009 in the same country.

Easton began his career with Hamilton in the first game of the season, making his debut as an in-place substitute for Javier Payo in the 70th minute of a 1-0 victory against Dundee on the 29th of September 2006, he was sent off with a straight red during a 1-1 draw with Queen of the South. 3 March 2008 was the day that Easton got his goal for the first time in his professional career during a win of 3-0 against Airdrie United. After the goal, Easton began to be more active in the first team throughout his initial time as a member of the Accies.
Easton continued to play in the first-team during the 2007-08 campaign, making 36 appearances, and, in May 2008, was named the athlete of the month award for April. After that the award, he signed a three-year deal with Hamilton after guiding his team to win the Scottish First Division title.

However, he had yet to make his Premier League debut, having his first-team opportunities limited and was loaned back to Hamilton. Despite the lack of first team minutes, Easton stated he hoped to take his chance when it came.

Having been an unused substitute in three matches, Easton finally made his debut, making his first start and playing 90 minutes, as Dundee lost 3–0 against Hibernian. Soon after, he suffered a hamstring injury during a 2–0 loss against Aberdeen; the injury ruled him out for two months. Despite making seventeen appearances, Easton was released along with ten players following Dundee’s relegation.
