Brent Charleton, CFA, (born 11 April 1982) is a Canadian businessman and former basketball player. He currently is the Chief Executive Officer and President of an Industrial Technology firm known as EnWave Corporation.
In 2006, he was a part of one season with the Otago Nuggets, a New Zealand basketball team that is based in Dunedin in south New Zealand. Then He played for three seasons with the New Zealand Breakers back in Auckland.
Despite the successes in the NBL, Charleton decided to return to Canada in 2008 to focus on his education and business career.
This led to Charleton being hired at EnWave Corporation as a Marketing Coordinator in March 2010, and he became CEO of the company in 2018.
After having graduated in Simon Fraser University in 2005, Charleton was a professional basketball player for three seasons, playing in both the New Zealand National Basketball League as well as the Australian National Basketball League.

After having graduated from Carson Graham High School in 2000, Charleton attended Simon Fraser University and received an Master of Arts degree as well as a major in Criminology. While at Simon Fraser University, he was president of the Student Athlete Council and Captain of the Varsity Men’s Basketball team. He broke the school’s record for scoring all time established by Jay Triano – Triano set the record for four seasons while Charleton’s record was set over five years.
In the year 2005 Charleton was also able to make the New Zealand national team debut with his team, the Tall Blacks. Since his father is from New Zealand He was eligible to represent the country.
Between September 2008 and May 2010, Charleton was a student of the Marketing Management Diploma program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), where he focused on Entrepreneurship.
