Between October 2010 to January 2011 Polk played between October 2010 and January 2011 in Spain in Spain for Leche Rio Breogan (seven games) and Lobe Huesca (six games).

Due to injury, Polk was forced to sit out the majority of 2011, including missing the 2011 SEABL season and a chance to play in Slovakia for MBK Rieker Komárno.

In 2012, Polk re-joined the Hobart Chargers. At the season’s end, he finished seventh in the MVP voting and was named to the 10-man All-Star SEABL team. In 29 games for the Chargers in 2012, he averaged 19.1 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

In the months of August between August and September 2007 Polk was part of Finnish club KTP-Basket however, he ultimately was not signed by the club following a trial period. He returned to Finland one year later to play in the 2008-09 season, and was a part of Kauhajoen Karhu. He was instrumental in helping Kauhajoen take home the league title the following season. In 27 games with Kauhajoen, he scored 16.6 scores, 8.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game.

After two years of playing at Redlands Community College between 2002 and 2004 Polk became a member of his team the Butler Bulldogs for his junior season in 2004-05. He earned the second team All-Horizon League honors in 2005 in addition to Horizon League All-Newcomer Team honors. In 2005-06, as a senior He received the title of Horizon League Player of the Year, and was awarded first-team all-conference recognition. In 61 games played for the Bulldogs during two seasons, Polk scored 16.0 scores, 4.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.2 blocks per game.

He appeared in 20 out of the team’s 22 regular season games and helped them finish fourth on the ladder with a 16–6 record.
