Jamini Devi, an archery instructor in Manipur, as well as Manglem Singh who is the state coach for the Manipur handball team. She began archery at age 11 years old, and later was a part of the Sports Authority of India and began training at the Sports Authority of India. Laishram admitted her story in an interview. Laishram was a representative of India in the Beijing Olympics for the female individual aswell in team events. She along alongside Banerjee as well as Pranitha Vardhineni were placed sixth among the qualifiers for team events. They were given a bye to Round 16, however, they fell against China with a score of 206-211 during the quarterfinals. In the individual competition she was ranked 22nd in qualifying however, she lost to Iwona Marcinkiewicz, a player from Poland at the end of the 64th round, in the highly contesting match, 101-103.
Laishram was a part of the recurve team that represented India at the 2010 Commonwealth Games; she, Banerjee, and Deepika Kumari won the Gold medal defeating England in the final.
Beginning 2011, Laishram won a medal at every Archery World Cup until 2016; the run included the Gold medal at the 2011 Shanghai World Cup, where the Indian recurve team beat Italy in the final. The Indian team was the no. 1 seed in the tournament, as they had finished at the top in the qualifications stage. Laishram, herself, was placed at no. 8 in the individual qualification round. She lost in the second of the knock-out stages to Mexico’s Avitia Mariana in a shootout. Earlier in 2011, Laishram had won the bronze and silver medals in the recurve team event at the Second (held at Antalya, Turkey) and Third (held at Ogden, Utah) stages of the World Cup respectively.
Laishram’s breakthrough was in 2007 when she won -as an individual member of the women’s team for recurve-the silver medal in the Asian Archery Championships. She made her debut in the Archery World Cup in 2007. She was seeded No. 11 following the qualification rounds, and had a total score of

Bombayla Devi Laishram (born 22 February, 1985) was an Indian archer.
