Bobby Mimms is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on October 12, 1963 in England, United Kingdom. On November 23, 1993 Southampton goalkeeper Tim Flowers was appointed first choice. From that point on, Mimms was rarely selected for the first team and his appearances of four in the 1994-95 season were not enough to earn him a championship medal In the beginning of 1996, he was signed to Crystal Palace, where he only played once. He was then moved to the lower divisions and played for Preston North End, Rotherham United as well as his home York City and Rotherham United. York City and finished off his career with Mansfield Town in 2001.
After leaving West Ham, he had short spells coaching at Blackpool and Bolton Wanderers and in November 2016 joined the coaching staff at Hull City following goalkeeper coach Gary Walsh’s move to Aston Villa. He left the club in January 2017, following the sacking of head coach Mike Phelan.
Mimms was an integral member of the team. But, Jack Walker was not one to be content with his achievements and, following the club’s promotions, huge sums of money were used to attract the top talent from across England to Ewood Park. Some of the best players like Alan Shearer, Stuart Ripley, Graeme Le Saux and Kevin Gallacher were brought to the club, and Mimms was an integral player of the team that was 4th in 1992-93, only not securing an UEFA Cup place.
Blackburn was sluggish in the beginning to the 1991-92 campaign, and Mackay was fired in early September. He was replaced in the next month with Kenny Dalglish. Dalglish made a number of important signings during the season . Blackburn made it to the final of the playoffs where they defeated Leicester City 1-0, ending 26 years without a place in the top division. Mimms was among the players who held his spot in the team all through the entire season.
Between 2001 and 2008 Mimms worked as goalkeeping coach at Wolverhampton Wanderers, before returning to Blackburn to fulfil the same role in August
- until he was sacked on 27 December 2012. During the pre-season preceding the 2013/14 season Mimms was appointed goalkeeping coach at Oldham Athletic. In February 2014, he left his role at Oldham to join the Bahrain national football team as their new national team goalkeeping coach. In October 2014 Mimms was appointed as goalkeeping coach at Premier League side West Ham United.

Mimms was born in York, Mimms began his football career as an apprentice with Halifax Town. But he was unable to get into the first squad and was then signed to Rotherham United in November 1981 for a cost of £15,000. He was then sold to Everton which had just been awarded the league title and European Cup Winners Cup. In his time in the 1980s, Mimms was a player for at least eight different clubs, having been out on loan with Everton several times. But, due to an injury sustained by Neville Southall, Mimms played in the goal for Everton during the last few weeks of the 1985-86 campaign. Everton had the best record in the league for the majority of the final 3 months however, they were knocked off victory on the final day by their local rivals Liverpool. Liverpool took home the FA Cup as well that season by beating Everton by 3-1 at the end of the game. They had Mimms as the goalie for the loser. He was a player when Everton played in their 1985 FA Charity Shield with Liverpool and took home in 1987 the FA Charity Shield against Coventry City. Later, he was sold to Tottenham Hotspur in 1988 following the departure of Ray Clemence, and had many more chances for the first team in the first team at White Hart Lane than he was given during his time at Goodison Park. On December 30, 1990 Blackburn Rovers boss Don Mackay signed him for £250,000, which was a transfer in the form of Tottenham Hotspur making him Blackburn’s most expensive acquisition in the time. He was signed during the initial stages of Jack Walker’s support of Blackburn and just a few days before Walker assumed full control for Blackburn as the Second Division club.
