Bob Tewksbury is one of the most popular and richest Baseball Player who was born on November 30, 1960 in Concord, New Hampshire, United States. Bob Tewksbury has the lowest percentage of base-on-balls per innings pitched of any pitcher who has started pitching for the Major Leagues after the 1920s. It is also the lowest ratio of any pitcher who has pitched in the past era, with the exception of Deacon Phillippe, Babe Adams, Dan Quisenberry, and Addie Joss.

In 1992, Tewksbury had only 20 batters walked in 233 innings, which is the highest ratio of the major leagues for more than fifty years. The following season Tewksbury was close to finishing this season by winning more games than the number of bases allowed, a feat that was only achieved four times by three different pitchers throughout MLB history. He scored 17 wins and just 18 walks permitted late in the season, but only allowed one walk during his final two games and failed to get any wins in either of them finishing this season winning 17 times and 20 walks.

In 1997, the ever-crafty Tewksbury threw an Eephus pitch, joining an elite few who have thrown the “junkiest pitch in baseball.” He threw it to power-hitter Mark McGwire in an interleague play game at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome and McGwire grounded out on the pitch – twice. Tewksbury’s son, Griffin, has been quoted as calling this pitch “The Dominator.”

Tewksbury was inducted into the Saint Leo Sports Hall of Fame in 1998.

Tewksbury’s talent first was noticed through Andy Michael in Concord. Michael reached out to his team at the New York Yankees and Tewksbury was chosen by them from Saint Leo University in the 19th round of the 1981 Major League Baseball draft. He was a player in the Yankees for two years before being transferred for the Chicago Cubs. In 1988, he was signed by the St. Louis Cardinals, where he would remain until 1994. Another non-free agent, the player signed for the Texas Rangers for a year. In 1996 when he was signed by the San Diego Padres for one more season. In December of 1996 He signed to the Minnesota Twins and played for two seasons in the Minnesota Twins team, however shoulder injuries ended his career in baseball after the fact.
