After a breakup from Rymes and Orange, D’Eith decided to concentrate on his music again. Following years of pressure through his father’s voice, D’Eith decided to team together with the brother of Paul’s top student Paul Schmidt. Schmidt is an accomplished guitarist. The intention was to create music that wasn’t intended for radio commercials. It started out as an attempt to compose music that would fit for TV and film as well as showcase Schmidt and D’Eith’s composition skills. The project began to take into its own existence of its own and the band Mythos was formed. The initial release was an EP known as Introspection (1995). The music is described as instrumental, ambient music with beats, guitar, piano vocalese, vocals, and other synthetic and organic elements. It’s a blend of electronic, world dance, classical, and jazz. In general Mythos does not include lyrics. The remix of the song “November” became commercially successful on the radio. The result was an increase in sales of CDs and later the recognition of awards, including an Western Canadian Music Awards (WCMA) (best dance) and the Juno Award nomination (best instrumental). Canadian successes and a visit to the MIDEM festival in France resulted in a contract in partnership with Bay Area indie label XDOT25 that released the album within the USA. Mehdi Amadi from XDOT 25 was working on a contract together with Higher Octave, a Malibu California New Age label, which decided to acquire Mythos. Higher Octave then released a mix of Introspection and a follow-up not yet released EP Iridescence (1996) along with the release in the world of Mythos (1998) via Virgin/EMI. Mythos was a huge success to Higher Octave who went on to release their sequel album Reality of a Dreamer (2000) and Eternity (2002). The sales would reach 100,000 and Mythos continued to be at the top of the Billboard New Age charts for several months. Album artwork came to Gil Bruvel. Mythos then came out with the album “Purity (2006) in collaboration with Pacific Music/Warner in Canada and Allegro/Alula records in the USA. Since then the band members Paul continue to write however, since Schmidt being in Korea recording has proved to be an issue.

After a six-year hiatus, Mythos released a new Album entitled Journey in April 2013.

On May 1, 2013, he published his first eBook entitled, A Career in Music: the other 12 step program. The book is focused on developing indie artists and new professionals in music. On Feb 14, 2014, D’Eith published his first novel The Displaced.

MuchMusic videos. After traveling across Canada numerous occasions, D’Eith was forced to make a choice between a life in the field or a job working in business music. He decided to return to co-managing the band along with Peter Karroll and became a non-touring member of the group. The band also included Steve Hennessy and Niko Quintal and recorded their second album, Trapped in a Machine (1994 recorded by John Webster and recorded at Turtle Recording in Richmond, BC). This album resulted in several Top 30 radio hits including “Toy Train” which was probably the group’s biggest hit. The song was featured on the commercial by Labatt Genuine Kelly. In the same time, D’Eith was honored with the Best keyboardist award in Canadian Music Week and the group was nominated for an Juno Award for Best New Artist.
