Santavy’s father Dalas was a competitor at the 2005 World Weightlifting Championships, as did his grandfather Bob was a representative of the nation at the 1968 and the 1976 Summer Olympics at Mexico City and Montreal respectively. Santavy’s grandfather also earned an Olympic bronze medal during the 1995 Pan American Games in Mexico City. Noah, Santavy’s brother Noah can also be found lifting weights.
