Blanche Barton (born Sharon Leigh Densley 1 October 1961) is an American religious leader, who serves as Magistra Templi Rex of the Church of Satan, and is known by the Satanists as Magistra Barton.
In 1999, Barton ran a failed campaign to raise $400,000 to buy the Black House, where many of the church’s rites were carried out.
A settlement was later reached in which Anton LaVey’s belongings, writings, and royalties would be split among his three children, Karla, Zeena and Satan, and that Barton would receive the “corporation known as Church of Satan.”
Barton was born at home in San Diego, She moved into the church of her pastor Anton LaVey in 1984. Following LaVey and his daughters Zeena LaVey (High Priestess, 1985-1990) removed herself from her position in 1990, the post stood vacant for a while until Barton took over the position of High Priestess following Anton LaVey’s passing on October 29, 1997.
