Bill Kenney is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on January 20, 1955 in San Francisco, California, United States. William Patrick Kenney (born January 20th 1955) is a former quarterback who played nine seasons playing in the National Football League with the Kansas City Chiefs from 1980 to 1988 . He is also an ex-politician who served eight times as Missouri State Senator. Kenney was first selected to the Miami Dolphins in the 12th round of the 1978 NFL Draft.

The team was not able to achieving his 4,000-yard total during the following three seasons. However, he managed enough to keep Blackledge from playing in the event that he was fit (in the year 1984, Blackledge was out for 7 weeks because of thumb injuries). He ultimately gave the starting position in 1988 after the Chiefs traded him to Steve DeBerg. Kenney was let go after not completing one touchdown pass in 114 attempts during the season. He was released by his position with the Chiefs as the second-most prolific quarterback in the history of the team after Hall of Inductee Len Dawson. He was surpassed in a variety of passing categories in the past in the past by Trent Green; Green also broke Kenney’s record for passing yards in 2004.

Kenney took up residency in Lee’s Summit, Missouri after his retirement. He turned his attention to politics at this time, and in 1994, he successfully ran as a Republican to represent a portion of Kansas City and parts of suburban Jackson County in the Missouri State Senate. In 1996, Kenney ran an unsuccessful campaign to become Missouri’s Lieutenant Governor.

In 2001, Bill Kenney became the majority floor leader of the Missouri Senate, and held the position for two years. He left the Senate afterwards due to term limits, and retired from politics altogether as a result.

Following a mediocre 1981 season Kenney would soon be replacing Todd Blackledge, whom the Chiefs selected as part of the highly-prized quarterback class in 1983. Kenney did not disappoint, putting together an outstanding season that saw him set record team record for yards passed (4,348) and completes (346) during the course of a year; the latter was good enough to be a leader in the NFL. Kenney was awarded the Pro Bowl berth that season. In one instance the quarterback threw over 300 yards in just four matches in succession. He topped out at 417 yards during the defeat to Seattle. However, it was not a good time for Kenney along with the Chiefs they lost the entire four games.

Kenney was born in San Francisco and graduated from San Clemente High School in the year 1973. He was initially awarded an athletic scholarship to play at Arizona State University but transferred to the small Saddleback College after one season. After having graduated from Saddleback which was a two-year junior school, he stayed for the rest of his college time with The University of Northern Colorado.

Kenney was selected for The Miami Dolphins. He was dropped from the Dolphins at the close of training camp, however Kenney enjoyed more success two years later when he was named to his way onto the Kansas City Chiefs roster as the second-in-command to Steve Fuller. He was able to start games in the latter part of the season due to an injury sustained by Fuller and performed exceptionally well. His performance in the final stretch of the season allowed him take over the position of the starter in 1981.

In 1989, he signed with the Washington Redskins to be the third quarterback behind Mark Rypien and Doug Williams. He did not appear in any games with the ‘Skins, however, and he retired after the season.
