Nakubuwai was a part of Melbourne’s National Youth Competition team in 2015, and played 42 matches in two seasons. Nakubuwai made his debut international in the match for Fiji with a win against Papua New Guinea in May 2016. In December of 2016, Nakubuwai signed with the Gold Coast Titans.
Nakubuwai played for the Gold Coast Titans in the NRL, and was a member of Fiji’s squad for the 2017 World Cup.
