Rebecca Eri Rabone (rebetsukaYing Li Reibon , Rebekka Eri Reibon, born 6 March 1984) also known as mononymously Becky (betsuki , Bekki) is a Japanese Tarento artist currently under contract with Sun Music Productions. In 2009 she’s been recording songs under her stage name Becky#.

In January of 2016 Becky’s image as Japan’s most adored female star took a fall following the revelation that Japanese newspaper Shukan Bunshun reported that she was having an affair Enon Kawatani who at the time was married. In the aftermath of revelations, Kawatani made it clear that he had divorced his wife. In order to ease the public and to facilitate her return to show business within Japan, Becky tried to apologize in a formal manner towards Kawatani’s wife. Since there was no official channel to speak to her, Becky contacted the Shukan Bunshun’s editorial department instead. Shukan Bunshun has published the complete content of Becky’s letter in April 2016. The letter admits to her involvement but also states that she hasn’t seen Kawatani in the months since his scandal came out and she is no longer in love for Kawatani. Because of her apology, Becky was to make her return with a show on TBS. In her first appearance on television, she was as a guest on “Full Chorus – Music is Full Chorus” on the cable channel BS Skyperfect TV.

Becky is a native of Kanagawa Prefecture to a Japanese mother and an English father, Simon Rabone. She has a younger sister who is a dancing Jessica “JJ” Rabone. As of 2011 Becky was a dual citizen in both Japan as well as her home country of the United Kingdom. Even though The Japan Times previously erroneously listed the full title of her name to be “Rebecca Eri Ray Vaughan”, Australian airline Jetstar Airways and Jetstar Airways, who employed her in ads and promotions directed at Japanese audience members, lists her name in full as “Rebecca-Eri Rabone”, this name is identical to that of her parents and siblings and her father. The mistake is due to the fact that ‘Rabone’ as well as “Ray Vaughan” are written the same way in Japanese. She made her debut as an actor on the well-known children’s TV show Oha-Suta in 1999. She read names in English names of different Pokemon actors in a segment of the show titled Pokemon: The World. She was a well-known mascot of the show and then began landing appearances on numerous Japanese show called variety. On television, she’s been featured in many commercials and provided her voice to characters of numerous films and anime shorts.
