Blair is born the 12th of January 1959, in Gary, Indiana, United States. Blair began playing sports during junior high school and was a champion at city championships as the regional senior high school weightlifter. Blair received numerous awards in high school, aside from sports. He got the honor of being named “Mr. Titan” and was named “Best all Around” his senior year. In the present, he is the record holder for the highest number of awards in Hillsborough County High School located in Tampa Bay, Florida. When he graduated at 17 years of age, Blair started training in the summer months for Championship Wrestling from Florida (CWF). Blair was determined on playing football with the former NCAA division 2 Power-house in the University of Tampa, where he sold sodas to crowd and watched his favourite footballers, Freddie Solomon and Paul Orndorff. In the year 2000, the University of Tampa folded their football program due to the team, Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Blair was a student at Saint Leo College near Dade City under the direction of coach Tillrow Morrison, then transferred to the University of Louisville on a football scholarship. However, the school did not award him an official varsity grade as he was a double major in the fields of political science and business.

In 1981, Vince McMahon, Sr. scheduled Blair to compete in The World Wrestling Federation (WWF) particularly on their trips in Japan from 1981 to New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) in which he wrestled Japanese wrestling champions Antonio Inoki and Tatsumi Fujinami.

After gaining experience all over the world Blair returned to CWF. On July 11, 1982, Blair beat Jimmy Garvin for the NWA Florida Heavyweight Championship and defended it successfully against Stan Hansen and Bruiser Brody.

In 1983 Blair joined the WWF once again as they began to expand to a national promotion. During his first stint with the WWF his self-proclaimed highlight was a match with Paul Orndorff in St. Louis. After the short run with the WWF, Blair moved on to Georgia Championship Wrestling as well as a return to Florida Championship Wrestling. In Florida, Blair picked up another Florida title run as well as unseating “Ravishing” Rick Rude as the Florida Southern Champion.

Following CWF, Blair moved on to Bob Geigel’s NWA Central States promotion out of Kansas City, Missouri around 1978, where he fought against Jesse Ventura. Blair also joined forces together with “Bulldog” Bob Brown and took home an award at the Central States Tag Team championships. Blair also played regularly in Leroy McGuirk’s Tri-State promotion. It was here that where he was married by the daughter of Leroy McGuirk Mike McGuirk in 1980. He was even shot by Leroy when he attempted to speak to Mike prior to leaving town. When he was in the Tri-State promotion, Blair was briefly awarded his first Junior Heavyweight Title from Ron Starr. This was Blair’s first professional title tenure.

Brian Leslie Blair (born January 12 1959) is an American politician and professional wrestler. The most well-known of his achievements is his participation in his organization, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) under the Ring name B. Brian Blair as part of tag group The Killer Bees in the 1980s.

From 1975 to 1977, Blair began to train to be wrestler for Hiro Matsuda, based in Florida. Blair began his career in 1977 with Eddie Graham’s CWF where he primarily worked as an opponent. Blair made his debut in a tag-team match against Pat Patterson and Ivan Koloff. One of Blair’s first opponents was another Matsuda scholar later named Hulk Hogan.

After leaving the Tri-State promotion Blair joined up with Fritz Von Erich’s World Class Championship Wrestling promotion in Texas, where he lived with David Von Erich for over a year. In WCCW he gained victories over Killer Tim Brooks and former WWWF World Champion Stan Stasiak. During his time in Texas he was asked by Alberto Madril to be his partner in a tournament to crown new American tag-team Champions. Their run with the gold was cut short by Killer Tim Brooks and Armand Hussein in September 1981.
