Asiwaju Yinka Mafe is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on February 4, 1974 in Nigeria. Asiwaju Yakini Mafe (4 February 1974 – 4 February 2020) was a Nigerian lawyer and the Majority Leader of the Ogun State House of Assembly.
Asiwaju Yinka Makafe relocated from Nigeria to U.K in 2004 and earned an MA from the Department of International Business Law from the Cambridge University in 2006. He passed the Qualified Lawyer Transfer Test at the London College of Law where obtained his credentials to practice as a solicitor for the Supreme Court of England in the UK. Asiwaju was an attorney in various law firms, and later was the owner of his own firm, the MIB solicitors located in the UK following which he closed down the company and relocated home to Nigeria in 2010 to pursue his political career.
During the 2019 general elections, Asiwaju Yinka Mafe decamped from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and contested to represent the Remo Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives under the platform of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) and lost. He returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in April 2019.
He was appointed by his place at the Nigerian Bar in the role of Solicitor for the Supreme Court of Nigeria after having attended his first class at Nigerian Law School Victoria Island Lagos in 2001.
