After graduating from the university in May 2015 the following year, she took up full-time skiing and continued to ski for the British National Team. In the meantime she was a member of the Sugar Bowl Academy, which is located in Norden. In November of 2015 she competed in her FIS Cross-Country World Cup debut in Ruka where she was placing fiftyth overall at the Sprint classic. In February of 2016 she participated at the 2016 FIS U23 Cross-Country World Championships in Rasnov and her best score came in 30th place on the 10km free. In the final week of the 2016 year, she took part at the 2016 Ski Tour Canada, finishing 42nd overall.

In 2016 May, she moved to Lillehammer and joined the Team Coop Talent, which is the elite branch off of the Lillehammer SK. In 2017 February, she competed in the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 at Lahti, her best result was 38th in the sprint freestyle and 30 km freestyle mass start.

In 2013 , January Taylor took home the 15-kilometer free mass start race at the Colby College Winter Carnival, which was Taylor’s first FIS race success of her career.
