Annie Last (born 7 September 1990) was an English professional cyclist representing Great Britain and England, that specializes in cyclocross and mountain biking. She was selected to compete as a female in the cross-country mountain bike race to be part of the Great Britain team at the 2012 Summer Olympics which led her to place 8th.

In the month of March 2017 Last participated at the 8-day Absa Cape Epic stage race for the first time, and placed second in the race with South African partner Mariske Strauss. This was the first time Last participated in the Cape Epic, which takes place in the Western Cape, South Africa each year. The 2017 course was totalled at 651 km. The rider continued to show great form in the following season, securing her very first UCI Mountain Bike World Cup victory during Lenzerheide, Switzerland in July and becoming the very first British woman to take home the cross-country World Cup event since Caroline Alexander’s win from Sankt Wendel, Germany in 1997. She then finished second in the 2017 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Cairns, Australia in September making her the very first British female to win a medal in the world’s top cross-country race. Annie Last and her partner Mariske Strauss were determined to remain on the GC stage at this year’s Cape Epic after Strauss fell unwell before the last stage. Last was able to break Canada’s hold of the race, and earned the country’s first Commonwealth Games gold medal in the women’s cross-country event at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

Her eligibility for her participation in the 2012 Olympics was determined by her participation in the World Cup event in La Bresse in May 2012. Great Britain did not get an automatic qualification spot in the mountain biking competition for women thus, finishing out in international competitions were necessary to earn an entry into the Games in the race. The athlete placed eighth at the race, which earned Great Britain a spot at the Olympics in her race and is expected to be selected as part of the British team for the Games.
