Anne Margaret McTaggart (born 30 January 1970) is an Scottish National Party politician, an elected Glasgow city councillor, and an Scottish Labour Party member in the Scottish Parliament for the Glasgow region between 2011 and 2016.

She served on five Committees that included that of the Personnel Appeals Committee, and was an active member of both the Education Children and Families Policy Development Committee as well as the West Local Community Planning Partnership. She was also an elected Councillor of Glasgow Regeneration Agency 2011 Ltd.

A year after becoming an MSP, she did not seek re-election to Glasgow City Council in the 2012 local election, thus ending her dual mandate.

In the 2016 Scottish Parliament election, McTaggart did not stand for a constituency and was selected in twelfth position on the Labour additional member list for Glasgow, effectively ending her tenure before the vote took place (a large number of the candidates listed above her would have to win their constituency seat, in addition to several more as well as her being added from the region, almost an impossibility under the proportional system).

McTaggart has been elected an official list MSP to represent the Glasgow region during 2011, the Scottish Parliament election. The outcome was a bit of a surprise, given that Labour lost five seats in the local constituency in the election to SNP and also had three MSPs selected from their second list (from no candidates in 2007) which was the final one of which was McTaggart.
