Anna Carolina Odell (born 3 October 1973) is an Swedish artist and filmmaker. She was awarded 2 Guldbaggen Award for in 2014 for her film The Reunion in the categories Best Film and Best Screenplay. In 2009 the film Okand, kvinna 2009-349701 received much attention following the fact that she faked and recorded an attempt to commit suicide at Liljeholmsbron in Stockholm in the film. Two films in which she has been part of The Reunion and Amalimbo has been selected for nominations in various categories and screened during The Venice Film Festival.

She performed an appearance as a voice actor in the short animated film “Amalimbo” by Juan Pablo Libossart the film was nominated for categories for short movies of this year’s Venice Film Festival.

In 2013, Odell began her first directorial venture in her debut film The Reunion. The film tackles the subject of bullying, power structures within the society , and the unhealthy hierarchy at schools. Odell shared a lot of her personal experiences from her school days and also her experiences of her reunion. The film was premiered during the Venice Film Festival that year. The film premiered it’s Swedish premiere on November 15th, 2013 and was greeted with positive reviews. Atertraffen won two Guldbagge Awards for Best Film and Best Screenplay.
