In 2009, she was able to achieve new heights. She cleared 4.40 meters within the indoor area of Udine in February. She then beat the mark in order to make the finals in the 2009 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Turin. In the end, she placed last after not achieving an altitude in just three attempts. She was selected to compete for Italy in this year’s World Championships in Athletics and was unable to make the finals, registering the mark of 4.50 meters and then losing to Kristina Gadschiew after a count-back. However, she established five Italian records during the course of the year. She finished with a personal best of 4.60 meters.
She won the bronze medal at the 2009 Mediterranean Games and represented Italy at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics. She has also competed at European-level both indoors and outdoors. She was a double Italian record holder in the event with an outdoor best of 4.60 metres and an indoor best of 4.50 m until 17 February 2013.
When she changed her athletics coach to Slovenian Igor Lapajne in 2005 She began to get better and was named an Italian pole vault champ indoors. She then competed at the European Cup in 2006, which saw her finish 5th at the First League competition. She was invited to participate in the 2006 European Athletics Championships and finished 10th in the qualifying rounds with a an impressive vault of 4.15 meters. She was able to improve her personal best in the year, culminating with the Italian records of 4.32 meters at Busto Arsizio. After winning the Italian indoor championships, she won her first national outdoor title in the year 2007. Giordano Bruno kept her indoor title another win in 2008 and then repeated the feat in outdoor competition. Although she was not a part of any major championships in this time, she improved her personal bests , and set an outdoor record of 4.41 meters and an indoor record of 4.25 meters.
