After moving to Italy in the latter half of the 80s Lee got a talent scout, was the lead vocalist on a variety of Eurodance singles that were released under different names. The songs include Anne as one of the vocalists from Ally & Jo, Whigfield DJ Space’C Lolita, A Kay BJ, Alex, Wienna and TH Express. She also released a couple of Eurobeat individual singles through label Italian label A.Beat-C. under the names Annerley Gordon and Annalise. Gordon is believed to have contributed to the song “The Rhythm of the Night” which was made available by Italy on December 23, 1993, on the DWA record label, owned by Eurodance group Corona.
Her debut solo single as “Ann Lee” was “2 Times” which was made available in the year 1998. The song was released again in 1999, and quickly became an Top 10 hit in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Norway and also the countries of Australia as well as New Zealand. It also reached number 2 in her home country, the United Kingdom, and reached the top spot on the charts in Flanders in Flanders and Denmark. In Canada it reached 14 on the charts of singles. “2 Times” was featured in the 2001 film Head Over Heels as the theme song of the film.
