Anka Wolbert is one of the most popular and richest Singer who was born on June 10, 1963 in Netherlands. Anka Wolbert (also Anke Wolbert born 10 June 1963) is an Dutch musician who sings, sings, and songwriter. She is also a web developer best known by her involvement with Clan of Xymox.

Abbreviated as Xymox once more The band’s 3rd album Twist of Shadows was released on PolyGram in 1989. The album was a hit in the United States, this album has earned a cult-like following for the group, receiving a great deal of encouragement from radio stations at colleges and sold-out venues on live shows. Two songs off The Twist of Shadows album, Blind Hearts and Obsession were able to make it onto on the US Billboard chart. The third single from the album Imagination which was written and sang by Anka Wolbert, garnered the band the biggest media attention. It charted at the number. 85 on the Billboard Hot 100, generating Top 40 radio airplay and MTV rotation of the Imagination video. Following they released their 4th album Phoenix at PolyGram at the beginning of 1991 Wolbert made the move to London to NYC where they established Polygram’s headquarters.

Wolbert returned to 4AD signing a development deal with the label in 1994. Pieter Nooten joined Vaselyn as co-writer and musician in 1995. In 1996, Vaselyn signed a worldwide deal to a subsidiary of EMI Music, The Enclave, in NYC. In 1997, EMI folded the label into Virgin Records which left many artists in limbo, Vaselyn one of them, and Wolbert decided to take a break from the music industry.

In the same year, Wolbert co-produced Pieter’s solo album Ourspace on I-Rain Records. Wolbert and Nooten also co-produced Sophie Zeyl’s album Running Two Ways on I-Rain Records in 2006.

The year was 1986 and Clan of Xymox released their second album Medusa on 4AD. It was called by Sounds as “a major accomplishment … every song has the sound of an epic and brooding overture’, with the song Masquerade (written and performed by Wolbert) is hailed as ‘an elegant ballad featuring her high bass in the mix , and scored by strings’. Wolbert and Moorings made the move from London to London and the group toured across the United States and Europe. As US popularity grew, Clan of Xymox left 4AD and signed with the New York-based record label PolyGram.

Anka Wolbert was the co-founder of the band Xymox together with Ronny Moorings back in 1981. The band began self-publishing their debut mini-album Subsequent Pleasures in 1983. Pieter Nooten joined the band as a third songwriter just after the album’s release.

With the title Xymox was extended and changed to Clan of Xymox, they signed a contract to record with an independent UK label 4AD and released their debut album Clan of Xymox in 1985. Seventh Time was the title track. 7th Time, with Anka Wolbert as the lead vocalist was picked up in the hands of John Peel, leading to the band recording two times at the famous Peel Sessions at the BBC between November and June of 1985. Peel described the band’s melancholic, dark music as darkwave.

In 1993, Wolbert collaborated with Toni Halliday (from the band Curve) on a new album under the band name of Bud. Wolbert got signed by Dave Stewart of Eurythmics to the publishing side of his label, Anxious Records. While the Bud album didn’t see its release, material written for this album was taken to a new band started by Wolbert called Vaselyn in 1994.
