Angela Whyte (born 22 May 1980) is an Canadian sprinter in track and field competition. She has been a three-time Olympian (2004 in 2004, 2008 and in 2016) at the 100m hurdles in the Summer Olympics. She has been awarded multiple gold medals both at the Pan American Games and the Commonwealth Games in the 100 meters hurdles. She was four-time All-American and 5 times Big West Conference champion in two years of competition at the University of Idaho and holds school records in sprints and hurdles, jumps, relays, and multi-events at both Idaho as well as in the University of New Mexico. There are also two Big West records in the 100m hurdles. Her current position is an assistant coach for track and field for Washington State University.

After redshirting for the 2003 season Whyte was back for the third time in 2003, and helped lead Idaho towards its second Big West Conference track and field championship. In 2003, at the Big West Conference Track & Field Championships, Whyte won individual titles in the 200m, 100m and 100m hurdles. She was part of Idaho’s winning 4 x 100m and 4 400 relays. Whyte was awarded the Big West Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the Year for her performance. She was awarded her second career All-America award during the indoor season of 2003 when she placed 8th in 60m hurdles (8.18) in the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. Whyte received two All-America certificates during the 2003 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships with an overall third place finish on the track in the heptathlon (5,745) and seventh place for the 100m hurdles (13.07). She also helped Idaho finish 20th overall at the championships. Whyte was also able to break records in the 100m hurdles. Big West Conference all-time record (13.06) and also the Big West Championship Meet record (13.11) in the 100m hurdles at the 2003 championships.

Whyte finished sixth at the 2004 Olympic Games in the 100m hurdles (12.81). At the 2008 Olympic Games, she finished 23rd overall after finishing fifth in heat three (13.11). She represented Canada at every IAAF World Championships in Athletics meet from 2001-09. She, along with fellow Canadian Perdita Felicien, was one of just two women to qualify for every World Championship competition in the 100m hurdles during that span. Her best finish came in 2007 (Osaka, Japan) when she was a finalist and finished eighth (12.66). She was also a World Championships semifinalist in the 100m hurdles in 2003 (12.89) and 2005 (13.52).

Whyte claimed silver in the 100m hurdles (12.94) at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and again took second at the 2010 Commonwealth Games with a time of 12.98. She represented Canada at the 2007 Pan American Games, where she took bronze with a time of 12.72. She claimed silver at the 2011 Pan American Games with a time of 13.09.

She took home her first Canadian championship in 100m high hurdles, with the time of 13.10 which was held in Edmonton, Alberta. She took home the second Canadian title in the race in 2013 with the time that was 12.90 in Moncton, New Brunswick. Whyte is the Canadian national third during 2003 (12.97) in 2004, (12.85) in 2006 (12.69) and 2007. (12.55w) as well as 2008. Whyte was a student at her time at the University of New Mexico and participated on the team for track and field in both the years 1999 and 2000.
