A defensive player, 1.73 meters (5.7 feet) high, Foley plays primarily on the half-back line, with the ability to move towards the midfield. Foley was born in and was raised at Shepparton, Victoria. She played for her team the Bendigo Thunder in the Victorian Women’s Football League north west conference, where she won the club’s first highest and fairest award in the year 2011 and a first-place finish for the year 2012. She relocated to Darwin in the beginning of 2013 and was a member of with the Waratah Football Club in the Northern Territory Football League (NTFL) and was awarded the league’s premiership during her first season at the club as well as winning the Brenda Williams Medal as the best on the ground during the final. She also won two premierships for the club during the 2014/15 season and the 2015/16 season and was named as the league’s top women’s player in both seasons.
