Angela Eiter (born 27 January 1986 in Arzl im Pitztal) is an Austrian professional climber. She is a world champion at lead-climbing competitions. she was the winner of three Lead Climbing World Cups in consecutively between 2004 and 2006, and won four World Championships. 2011 was the year she scored her 25th win at the World Cup and her 42nd podium.

As of the month September 8, at the 3rd round at the World Cup in Bern, she suffered a serious injury which injured her left shoulder after which she underwent an arthroscopic surgery. She was forced to stop her competition early in the season and undergo nine months of rehabilitation. She began competing next July in the Climbing World Championship 2009 in Qinghai.

On October 22, 2017 she climbed La Planta de Shiva (Villanueva del Rosario, Spain), widely considered to be a 9b (5.15b) route, becoming the world’s first female to climb that grade.

In 2017 she became the first woman in history to climb a 9b (5.15b) route (La Planta de Shiva at Villanueva del Rosario, Spain).

In recognition of this exceptional performance, the team was given an award called the La Sportiva Competition Award in 2006.
