The album did not be as successful as Too Tough but did produce one Top 20 R&B hit, “I’m On Your Side” It was covered by numerous artists, but the most notable was Jennifer Holliday, who had an Top 10 hit with it in the year 1991.

The show was planned by Rich Engel, her manager, and the New York radio stations Kiss FM and WFAN-FM,. It took place on March 11, 2006, at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey. Similar events followed, and other aid was sought from the Rhythm and Blues Foundation. Her album Live from Manila (recorded in September 2004) was released during this time. She convalesced at Sutter Hospital in Santa Rosa, California, and was released from intensive care on January 15, requiring speech and physical therapy. She lacked health insurance, and a benefit concert was organized to pay her hospital bills.

Bofill recorded two albums with Arista with the assistance from The System and George Duke before she left Arista in the middle of the 1980s. After the birth of her child, she went into Capitol Records and the producer Norman Connors for Intuition (1988) which brought her final chart-topping hit which was a cover version to Gino Vannelli’s “I Just Wanna Stop” which was ranked the top spot at No. eleven on the R&B chart. She released three albums in the following eight years, and also sang backing vocals on albums by Diana Ross and Kirk Whalum as well as the album of Connors’s Eternity (2000). She was a live performer (with large crowds across the globe and especially in Asia) as well as in the stage productions God Don’t Love Ugly and What is a Man Needs and What is a Man needs. She also performed in the US as well as Europe performing in multi-artist shows.
