Amir Vahedi (February 25, 1961 – – January 8 10th, 2010) was an Iranian professional poker player who was born in Tehran, Iran. He won the World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet in the 2003 World Series of Poker in the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event.

Vahedi was a soldier with his time in the Iranian military throughout his time in the Iran-Iraq War before becoming a war refugee, and then relocating to the US and settling within Sherman Oaks, California. It was also one of Affleck’s earliest poker instructors.

Vahedi passed away at 48 because of possible complications with diabetes on January 8, 2010.
