Amir Azmy is one of the most popular and richest Egyptian footballer who was born on February 14, 1983 in Cairo, Cairo Governorate, Egypt. Amir Azmy Megahed (Arabic: “myr zmy mjhd born on 14 February 1983) is an Egyptian retired footballer.
After signing with Hacettepe Spor in June 2008, Azmy rapidly became a regular starter in the back four players of the team. Azmy played as a player in the initial four matches in the Turkish League, and made several impressive performances, one of which he was named The Man of Match in the match against Eskisehirspor.
As of the month September, Azmy began the game against Fenerbahce as a substitute, and was then selected to play the role of man-marker for to mark the Spanish player Daniel Guiza. He was a good player and was well-managed to block the attacker’s attacks and also allowed his team to defeat Fenerbahce by a score of 1-0, only the second time in the history of football.

The month of December was the year that Azmy had been banned from football for 14 months due to the positive results of a doping test during the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship. Azmy said he was not guilty of the dope that was found in his blood. He claimed it was part of a prescription drug which he used in his muscle improvement training. Azmy appealed to that the ban to be canceled however, the appeal was rejected.
