Amber Jacobs (born June 29 1982) was an ex-professional basketball player with the women’s national basketball association (WNBA) with the Los Angeles Sparks. She was then appointed the assistant athletic director of Clarks Summit University and their head women’s basketball coach. Prior to this, Jacobs was an assistant coach for the University of Rhode Island women’s basketball team, under the former coach of Boston College Cathy Inglese.

In the WNBA season, Jacobs was an assistant coach for the University of Toledo women’s basketball team for two years. Then she spent a time at Ribera, Italy playing in the Italian League. In the off-season of 2007-2008, Jacobs was an individual coach in Florida. On March 17, 2008, Jacobs was signed by the Washington Mystics signed Jacobs when the Minnesota Lynx did not match the contract. On June 23, 2008, Jacobs was removed to the Washington Mystics. Then she was granted a contract to the Los Angeles Sparks July 7 July 7, 2008. On the 29th of July, 2008 Jacobs was released from the Los Angeles Sparks.

In 2016, Jacobs was selected by Boston College to be their representative to the 12th Annual Class of “ACC Women’s Basketball Legends.”

Following the acquisition by newcomers Lindsey Harding and Noelle Quinn, Jacobs returned to a reserve position in 2007. Jacobs played for 29 times, scoring 3.2 scores in addition to 1.4 aids in 11.3 minutes of play.
