Nazar Baloch, a student activist from Pakistan, founded Baloch Student Organisation – Azad (BSO – Azad) in February 2002. This organisation openly supported armed struggle against Pakistan. He went underground in 2003 to join militants involved in the armed conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan. On 25 March 2005, he was detained by law enforcement authorities in Karachi. He had come to Karachi to see his old friends. He was later released by Pakistani security officers in 2008. Nazar Baloch, however, violated his agreement after his release and rejoined the separatist militants.
Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) is a terrorist group based in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Its current leader is Allah Nazar Baloch (Balochi, llh-ndhr blwch). Baloch Liberation Front claimed responsibility for the attacks on journalists, civilians, and government personnel. Baloch Liberation Front (Baloch Liberation Army) claimed responsibility for 27 of the 38 journalists killed in Balochistan between 2007 and 2007. Nazar Baloch also threatened attacks on schools in Pakistan. He made these threats while referring to the 2014 attack against school in Peshawar.
On 30 July 2017, Nazar Baloch threatened to conduct attacks against school children in Pakistan.
