Aliona Valeriyivnababak (Ukrainian name Al’ona Valeryivna Babak, September 27, 1969) was a Ukrainian politician. She was elected Minister of Regional Development in August 2019. She resigned on 16 January 2020. She was previously dismissed by the Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) on 4 February 2020.
Babak was a member of Parliament of Ukraine of 8th convocation and a member of the parliamentary faction Samopomich Union. In the October 2014 Ukrainian parliamentary elections, she was elected to Verkhovna Rada. She ranked 8th on the party lists of Samopomich Union. In March 2017, she resigned from parliament claiming that “I’m not an politician, I’m more an expert.” As a person, political activity is very difficult.”
